Renters' Rights Act 2025 - not all landlords are bad!

On seeing much of the recent media about the passing of the Renters' Rights Act 2025 into law, it would be easy to conclude that all landlords are essentially bad. So, I was pleased to read this comment in the recent MHCLG (Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government) guidance.

Although the Act is now in place, further information is expected from the Government as to when it will apply, and what exactly will be required of landlords. Many charities, schools, and faith organisations act as landlords and it will be important for them to know what changes they will need to make, such as what specific information will need to be included in tenancy agreements going forward.

We look forward to further detail being set out in due course.

We know that the majority of landlords already provide decent housing and a good service for their tenants.
