Schools call for greater clarity on SEND reforms as major consultation closes

Stone King has responded to the Government’s consultation on SEND reform (“Putting Children and Young People First”), broadly supporting reform but stressing a need for much greater clarity.

The reforms are welcomed in principle, but the lack of operational and legal detail creates significant risk - particularly of disputes, increased liability, and unmanageable expectations on schools.
